Dirt Action backs the XC Mid-Soft after testing it on a variety of conditions. They mention the tire "acing" any condition that has some give to it but also were surprised with how it held up in the hard pack.

I am surprised they are also a fan of the tire in the hard pack, just not for those who solely ride in those conditions.

Seems like this tire is great for those riding in the soft pack and loam. It also seems like it will cover a range of conditions but favoring the terrain with give much more.
