Long time fan of the brand and have stuck with the Tech 7 boot for the last 7+ years. I'm all desert and off-road riding and the 7 seems to be best the best balance of protection, flexibility and price.

Does Alpinestars still do the re-sole for MX Boots?

Yes on the resole. I believe its $99 for the set, but dont wait to long as you can damage carcas of the boot and then they wont be able to replace. Call their Torrance office.
